This collection started as an effort to dive deeper into the style that fuelled me with inspiration every time I crossed my eyes on: Art Nouveau.

ART MILESTONE:

Taurus wasn't planned.

I was deep into playing The Ghost of Tsushima, lost in Japanese composition, in the weight of negative space and the game's cinematography itself, highlighting the beauty of their culture and intentional minimalism. The piece just appeared like a lightning, calmly but completely out of nowhere.

No brief, no sketch session, no intention. One of those rare moments where you're not really deciding anything, just following something that's already there.

It came fast. And it didn't come alone.

Halfway through the composition I felt something was off. The frame -the same structural rule I'd held across every piece in the collection- was too tight. Too hard. I'd noticed it before in earlier pieces but always let it go in the name of consistency.

But not this time...

I broke the frame in two, right down the middle and even added new structural elements along the sides. It was the first major change to the composition format in eleven pieces, and it went against one of the clearest rules I'd set for myself at the start of this project.

But I'd learned something with Aries: rigidity isn't discipline. It's just fear of the next thing or perfectionism in disguise.

Taurus is the reflection of what happened when I stopped forcing things tight under "a certain way", and started trusting the natural flow of growth.
