Sometimes I wake up missing realism.

The day these studies came to life I was on a mission to have fun by mixing styles and drawing low-stakes sketches whilst going back to my roots: picking an image randomly and re-drawing it from scratch.

I was inspired, as the knights came one after the other in a couple of nights.

Together, they made a small collection that's the sum of speed, fun, action and practice. No stakes. The mere act of creating. Art for the sake of expression.

In plain sight, these might not come across as the most unique designs (apart from the natural flow and style of my strokes), but they DO represent the purest form of expression, the most natural and honest form of drawing for me.

After all, it is sketching and exploration, the art forms I love the most.
